Mick Jagger turns 72 today. He is the embodiment of a rock star. Together with the Rolling Stones he significantly changed the music as we know today. I have always been a big fan of The Rolling Stones band and also admired Mick Jagger. Though, he is in my opinion not a good looking guy but he has got that certain something women like. Rihanna - Chinese Queen of the Met Gala 2015

Met Gala is one of the biggest red carpet events with very much glamour and is even bigger than the Oscars. Extravagant looks can make us dropping our jawlines and it is definitely not easy to determine the best outfit of this spectacular evening.

On top there is always a theme to find the perfect dress to go with. It`s a little bit of a costume party and a lot of fun. This year, the exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York hat the title: China-through-the-looking-glass and tries to demonstrate the influence of China on Western culture and fashion. Dressing accordingly was not easy for designers and stylists. That`s why many celebrities choose traditional or especially sexy see-through dresses.

My Queen of the Met Gala was singer Rihanna. In her really gigantic evening gown from the Chinese designer Guo Pei she was stunning. The greatness of this dress comes from the intensive yellow and of course from the train. But see for yourself:

Really working the Chinese theme was model Georgia May Jagger. She wore a  dressing gown style evening dress. The colorful piece was designed by the new Gucci-Designer Alessandro Michele. and together with the green headpiece she looked gorgeous.

Who is the prettiest? Oscar robes 2015

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Everybody knows. For me, this year I was not so much impressed with the robes of the stars at the Oscars. Either I don't like the color (Emma Stone in Ellie Saab) or the look is repeating itself (Gwyneth Paltrow in Ralph und Russo). But despite that, I have found three prettiest, at least for me:

The heavily pregnant Keira Knightley looked sweet and radiant in her Valentino Couture dress. The gained weight suits her very well. The flowing creme Valentino robe is embroidered with delicate flowers and French words. It's both romantic and gorgeous. 

Cate Blanchet auf polyvore

Cate Blanchet's robe from Maison Margiela Couture with jewelry from Tiffany & Co. is not really a new look. But she wears it with great elegance. This dress with train in black is a real classic. The bright turquoise choker enhances the plain dress. I would wear this instantly. Her appearance at the Oscars 2014 was also one of my favorites, look here. 

Jamie Chung auf Polyvore

Jamie Chung was one of the first stars on the red carpet. She wore a wonderful sleeveless robe from Yanina Couture with layers of tulle and embroidered sequin stars. The diamond earrings from Leticia Linton were the only jewelry and let the impressive dress be very effective. Her radiant skin and nude lips fitted perfectly to her silky hair.
